“This album was sort of the opposite of the experience we had with Sound Waves in that I meticulously planned this track well in advance and Juja recorded his parts at about the last minute. The basic arrangement was created for our 8-piece band’s performance at Nerdapalooza. I actually remember sitting up in bed at about 11pm while on a trip to Belize, working on the arrangement in MIDI while the sounds of nature were all around me...anyway, I really enjoyed this arrangement and was kind of sad that we never got a decent recording of it, and at some point H3lios, John, and I recorded it. I don’t actually remember recording it though, and when we committed to release the song as a part of Tribute Album 64, I completely forgot that it was only missing guitars and bass. I suspect that we have an album or two’s worth of material in a similar limbo. Haha...anyway, so Juja and I haven’t really worked on much together in the past year or two and this song was a good excuse for us to start making music again. It’s been fun watching some of the other tracks get built, and working alongside such a friendly group of musicians!”
