“I was one of those unfortunate kids that didn’t own an N64 growing up (I had saved up all of my allowance for a Playstation and just couldn’t afford both). Luckily, I had plenty of friends who did and I have many fond memories of playing it. The N64 is unique for me in this sense because it was almost exclusively a multiplayer experience. While I spent countless hours alone in my room playing through sprawling single-player experiences on my PS, if I was playing the N64 I was always playing it with friends. Rampage World Tour, Mario Kart 64, WCW vs nWo, Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, and countless other games kept me and my friends entertained for hours. I’m sure many of you listening to this album have similarly fond memories of multiplayer gaming on this fantastic console. As a tribute to those memories, I decided to arrange the iconic ‘Institute Menu’ from Perfect Dark. I hope you enjoy it!”
